Welcome

Welcome to the Croydon Safeguarding Children Partnership (CSCP) website. The CSCP is the primary statutory body responsible for ensuring that organisations within Croydon work together to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. Our mission is to ensure the effectiveness of local safeguarding practices. Safeguarding children is the action we take to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Every single person who comes into contact with children and families has a role to play.

The CSCP oversees policies and procedures for safeguarding, which include:

  • Protecting children from maltreatment
  • Preventing impairment of children's health or development
  • Ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with safe and effective care
  • Taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes
