Youth Mental Health Training Available (FULLY FUNDED!)

The Public Health Team have arranged for a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training course at the end of October. Held over 4 half days as follows:

25 / 26 / 27 / 28 October 09:30 -12:30

The course is designed for adults (18 plus) who are working with children and young people. This is a fully funded programme (from an external grant) and is a great opportunity for small organisations to access this valuable training.

They are also organising a youth instructor course for the New Year. This will also be fully funded. Please note, only people who have already undertaken the  youth two day course can apply for the instructor training.

They are trying to find as many routes as possible to reach people working with children and young people who would like to access this training and urge you to send this out via all your networks.

Below is the application form which should be returned to and poster and postcards which you can use to publicise the MHFA training. Printed versions of the posters and postcards are available, please email  if you would like to be sent copies.

Even if you don’t access the training – please consider how you can promote the fact that Mental Health First Aiders are available in the community as part of the wider response to supporting positive mental health for all residents.

More details can also be found on the Council website:
